Health & Science Neighborhood

Welcome to the Health & Science Neighborhood at Mary Baldwin University! Students in this neighborhood are explorers, driven by compassion and curiosity, as well as careful observers of the world around them.

During your first year at MBU, you’ll live with other Health & Science students in the Spencer Residence Hall. You’ll also study and take classes together, and enjoy special activities tailored to your interests.

The Majors

The Health & Science Neighborhood majors share a focus on human health, biology, and scientific inquiry. They tend to attract students interested in research, improving health outcomes, and applying knowledge to real-world problems. Learn more below!

The Health and Science Neighborhood supports a student’s successful transition to college through engaging majors with research and real-life experiences embedded as learning tools. These academic experiences along with extra-curricular and social activities within the H&S Neighborhood make this a wonderful opportunity to grow amongst a group of like-minded peers.
