Lyda B. Hunt Gallery

Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of contemporary art

The Lyda B. Hunt Gallery is Mary Baldwin University’s art gallery located on the lower floor of Hunt Dining Hall. Hunt Gallery hosts approximately four contemporary exhibitions per year by both emerging and established artists with regional, national, and international recognition. The gallery also exhibits student and faculty work.

Hunt Gallery exhibits work that reflects a wide variety of media and artistic sentiments; it captures a slice of the contemporary art world and brings exemplary artistic talents and insights to our campus community. The gallery aims to create a space for new ideas, social connections, and diverse stories and perspectives. Each exhibition boasts corresponding openings and engagement events.

Hunt Gallery is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, during the university’s academic year.
